The project develops around an open courtyard. The courtyard and the building reflect the traditional architecture of Ile de Ré and serve as a transition between the public and the interior space. All areas of the building are directly accessible and linked by a central reception area. In this way, we solve the required versatility of the system. Our guiding principle has been the combination of a confined space and of a planned layout inside and outside.
