The agency participated in the competition for the restructuring, rehabilitation and extension of the Fongravey Castle in Blanquefort. We have limited our interventions inside the castle to the minimum necessary, thus maintaining the spirit and memory of the place while accommodating new functions. The extension is located opposite to the north facade, the least interesting from an architectural point of view. The new building will have a cubic volume, reinterpreting the volume of the castle. It will receive an outer skin of dark-coloured metal panels. A terrace on the ground floor and bridges on the upper floors provide functional connections, living spaces and refined transitions between the two different buildings and architectures. To meet the program's requirements with logical and easy-to-use spatial solutions, we have grouped the spaces of the same functional units.
