Our office has been commissioned with the renovation of the residence of the German Embassy in Washington. The building, which was erected between 1992 and 1994 according to Prof. O. M. Ungers’ design is subject to copyright protection and considered as a heritage building. This results in very special challenges in order to carefully handle the existing building. The planning phase is scheduled to take two years, and renovation works are expected to begin early 2025.
